Adventure Her, OUT NOW!

I am very excited to write on my first early years children’s book, Adventure Her, out now. I have had many excitement this year, but this one is special because it is a children’s book. Writing short children’s books has been something I always wanted to do, however, it did not come together until 2019. Although, I have worked with children for years, the idea of capturing the child’s attention in a book needed a special type of developmental skills of imagination and observation.

The idea of introducing Adventure Her to the world is due to the celebration of Women’s month in March, International Women’s Day and Mothering Sunday, themed #EachforEqual. The book focuses on the abilities and talents HER has, which is way more than sexsualising and putting her in a box. All around the world, women and girls are doing great, magnificent and amazing things, and Adventure Her is a short story that helps to put a light on this.

I must confess, as a young woman, I never wanted to have a girl child due to the discrimination, sexsualisation and socital pressure I thouht she was going to face. However, on having our daughter I knew she was going to be strong, confidence and able to take on her world and have an impact in her generation. Adventure Her teaches children to problem solve, think outside the box and apply their imagination. Do get your copy and enjoy reading it with your child.
